Terms of Service

Last updated: August 8, 2026
Plain-English summary: QuitSub helps you find subscriptions and shows you how to cancel them, on a best-effort basis. It's a helpful tool, not financial or legal advice, and we can't guarantee savings or that any cancellation will succeed — always confirm on the vendor's own site. Use it responsibly.

1. Agreement

By using QuitSub (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

2. What the Service does

You provide a bank or card statement (a CSV or PDF file, or screenshots or photos of your transactions) that is read in your own browser. QuitSub detects likely recurring charges and provides guidance on how to cancel or reduce them. Detection is a best-effort read of your data and may miss charges or misclassify them; cancellation steps are researched and kept current but can change without notice.

3. Not financial or legal advice

QuitSub is an informational tool. It is not financial, legal, tax, or investment advice, and we are not your advisor. We do not guarantee that any charge is or isn't a subscription, that any amount is accurate, that any cancellation will succeed, or that you will save money. Always verify on the vendor's official billing page before you act, and keep your own confirmations. Decisions about your money and your subscriptions are yours.

4. No affiliation with the companies listed

QuitSub is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any bank, card issuer, or the companies whose cancellation steps we describe. Company and product names and logos are the property of their owners and are used only for identification and comparison.

5. Plans and billing

The demo, our public cancel guides and the tap-to-build list are free. A scan of your own bank statements is a single purchase: $49 per scan, shown in the app before you pay, through our payment processor (Stripe). There is no subscription and no auto-renewal: nothing recurring is ever charged, so there is nothing to cancel. (Yes — a tool about ending subscriptions refuses to make itself one. That's the whole point.) A scan runs free first and shows you how many recurring charges it found and what they cost; paying unlocks that scan's full results. If a scan finds less than $49 a year, its results are free. Scanning new statements later is a new scan. Friend codes: a paid scan may come with one-time codes that take $10 off someone else's scan. Each code works once, expires 60 days after it is issued, has no cash value, and can't be exchanged or combined with another code; the person who shares a code receives nothing for it. 2-scan packs: where we offer one, a pack unlocks two different scans for one price; the second scan has no expiry date, and the 7-day refund covers the whole pack. Prices may change for future purchases, but a price change never affects a scan you've already bought. We do not promise future updates to the app or the cancel-route data, and we may add, change, or discontinue features or route data over time. Concierge is a one-time, quoted service, described below.

6. Concierge

Concierge is done-with-you help: a real person guides you, live, through your own scan and works the tricky cancellations alongside you. You run your own statement in your own browser; we never take your raw bank data or your login (see our Privacy Policy).

How Concierge is priced. Concierge is a one-time fee, quoted from the subscriptions you ask us to help cancel. There is no published price list and no minimum, because there is no standard job: you describe the situation, we assess it, and we quote that specific piece of work. Nothing is charged before you have the quote in writing and have agreed to it, and declining costs you nothing. We give you the number before any work starts and before you pay.

A scan is included. Every Concierge engagement includes a QuitSub scan of your statements. If you bought a scan on its own within the 90 days before your Concierge engagement, its price is credited toward your Concierge total, so you never pay for it twice.

What you are paying for. Concierge pays for our time and guidance in setting your cancellations in motion, with you and with your consent — not for a guaranteed outcome. Some cancellations require you personally (an account-holder call, an in-person step, a contract term); where one can't be completed through guidance, we tell you up front and either leave it out of the quote or hand you the exact steps. Because the fee is for work performed at the time of the session, what a vendor does afterward — a retention hold, a re-bill, a dispute you finish yourself — does not change the fee. Concierge is best-effort guidance, not a guarantee of any result or of any specific savings.

Rescheduling, and a missed session. You may reschedule a session at no cost up to 24 hours before its scheduled start time. Concierge is quoted and agreed in writing before any work begins, and that written quote sets out what happens if a session is missed. Nothing is charged before you agree a price.

Hard cases: what one session includes. A session includes up to three hard cancellations — those that require a phone call, a written cancellation letter, or a formal dispute rather than a self-serve cancel. Beyond the third, each additional hard case is $45, quoted to you before that work begins. This is the only charge besides the pricing set out in "How Concierge is priced" above, and like every other number here you see it and agree to it before any work starts.

Follow-through has a defined scope. Where a cancellation is submitted during the session rather than completed on the spot, our follow-through is one round of chasing per item — a single follow-up contact or check-in on that item after the session. If the company has not responded or resolved within that round, we hand you the exact next step to take and the engagement is complete. Follow-through is not ongoing monitoring, repeated escalation, or representation of you in a dispute.

Deciding before we start. Before any call is made, we do a short pre-session review of your list together and you decide, for each subscription, whether to cancel it, try to lower it, or keep it. We also explain how retention works: when we call to cancel, companies frequently offer a discount (often up to about 50% off), free time, or a “pause” instead of letting you go — and these are commonly a one-time tactic meant to reset the clock, in the hope you forget and drift back to full price later. Knowing that, you tell us how to proceed on each one and authorize us to act on those instructions during the session. We follow your stated plan and do not stop to renegotiate mid-call unless you ask us to. You remain in control and may change any instruction during the session, but you understand that a retention offer, once declined, may not be offered again, and that we are not responsible for an offer a company later withdraws or for a cancellation you authorized and afterward regret.

Our responsibility is limited to the plan you approve. Concierge’s obligation — and our liability — extends only to carrying out the instructions you sign off on in the pre-session review, subject to Section 9 below. Choosing to reverse a cancellation, declining a retention offer you later want back, or otherwise changing your mind during or after the session is your decision, and its outcome is not our responsibility. Your quote covers the plan you approve. Because we don’t run an hourly meter, the time it takes to work your approved list is included. What isn’t included is new scope: if you ask us to handle subscriptions that weren’t in the approved plan, we quote those as add-ons (at our per-subscription rate) before proceeding; and if reworking your decisions requires a further session, we quote that separately. We always tell you and get your agreement before anything additional is charged.

Optional — “Hold me to it.” Some people know a subscription is draining them and want us to keep them honest when the company dangles a discount to reel them back. You may choose, in the pre-session review, to have us proceed with the cancellations you’ve marked even if you hesitate in the moment, and to remind you of your own reasons before accepting any retention offer. You can stop us at any time with a clear, deliberate instruction — we will never force a cancellation over your firm objection — but short of that, we hold to the plan you set. This option is entirely your choice, made in advance and on the record, and choosing it (or not) never changes your fee.

7. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the Service: no attempting to break, overload, scrape, resell, or reverse-engineer it, and no using it for anything unlawful.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, QuitSub will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost savings or profits, arising from your use of the Service. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms; we'll update the date above and, for material changes, note it on the site. Continued use means you accept the updated Terms.
