🛰️ How to cancel SiriusXM

Music

You shouldn't need a guide to stop paying for something. But SiriusXM, like most subscription businesses, makes leaving just hard enough that a lot of people give up and keep paying. You're not bad at websites — the maze is the product. Here's the way through it.

The steps that actually work

  1. Direct-billed accounts: sign in to the Online Account Center, open the Subscriptions tab, choose to cancel and confirm.
  2. If the online option is hidden, use live Chat via the icon at the bottom-right of siriusxm.com.
  3. As a last resort, call 1-866-635-8641 to cancel by phone.
  4. Save a cancellation confirmation — uninstalling the app does NOT cancel billing.

⚠️ The trap they're counting on

Watch out: Notorious for retention: chat and phone agents push aggressive save offers and steep discounts before letting you cancel. Be firm and repeat 'cancel'. Promo rates often jump to full price at renewal — verify the actual cancel date.
📱 Signed up through an app store? If billed through Apple, cancel in Settings > Subscriptions; via Google Play, at play.google.com; via Roku, at my.roku.com.

Refund reality

Prepaid/annual plans may be eligible for a prorated refund of the unused portion — ask the agent; monthly plans run to period end.

What SiriusXM is charging you

Worth knowing before you decide — this is what stays in your pocket every month once you're out:

PlanPrice
All Access (App Only)$11.99/mostandard rate; heavily promo-driven (~$1-5/mo intro); in-car costs more

Prices as of 2026. Vendors change prices without asking; check your statement for what YOU pay.

You remembered this one. What about the ones you didn't?

You searched for this page, which means you knew you were paying for it. Nobody googles the subscription they forgot about — and the forgotten ones are where the real money goes. The annual charge that hit eleven months ago. The trial that quietly converted. The second account you opened and never closed.

This guide is free, like every guide on this site. What QuitSub does that you can't do from memory is scan your bank statements on your own device — nothing uploaded, no bank login, no Plaid — and surface the charges you'd stopped noticing. The scan runs free and shows you how many it found and what they cost; seeing all of them, with the way out of each, is $49 per scan, and free if it finds less than $49 a year. It found the founder $7,771/yr in his own statement, and he clawed $4,685 of past charges back in full.
