🚴 How to cancel Peloton

Fitness

You shouldn't need a guide to stop paying for something. But Peloton, like most subscription businesses, makes leaving just hard enough that a lot of people give up and keep paying. You're not bad at websites — the maze is the product. Here's the way through it.

The steps that actually work

  1. If your App Membership is billed through Apple or Google Play, cancel there instead — the in-app cancel won't stop store billing.
  2. Go to onepeloton.com in a web browser and sign in (not on the bike/tread).
  3. Click your profile picture (top right) > Membership.
  4. Click Manage Membership next to your All-Access or App Membership.
  5. Select Cancel Membership and confirm.

⚠️ The trap they're counting on

Watch out: Membership stays billed until the end of the current period; Peloton does not prorate or refund unused time. Equipment financing (Affirm/Klarna) is a SEPARATE agreement that continues after you cancel.
📱 Signed up through an app store? App Membership is often billed via Apple/Google. iOS: Settings > your name > Subscriptions > Peloton > Cancel. Android: Play Store > profile > Payments & subscriptions > Peloton > Cancel.

Refund reality

Generally no refund for unused membership time.

You remembered this one. What about the ones you didn't?

You searched for this page, which means you knew you were paying for it. Nobody googles the subscription they forgot about — and the forgotten ones are where the real money goes. The annual charge that hit eleven months ago. The trial that quietly converted. The second account you opened and never closed.

This guide is free, like every guide on this site. What QuitSub does that you can't do from memory is scan your bank statements on your own device — nothing uploaded, no bank login, no Plaid — and surface the charges you'd stopped noticing. The scan runs free and shows you how many it found and what they cost; seeing all of them, with the way out of each, is $49 per scan, and free if it finds less than $49 a year. It found the founder $7,771/yr in his own statement, and he clawed $4,685 of past charges back in full.
